It is really important that you do tell us about any medical condition that would be considered a pre-existing medical condition. We want to make sure you have comprehensive cover that you can rely upon. If you don’t tell us about a relevant medical condition, you could find that you are uninsured. Overseas medical costs and especially medical costs on cruise ships are very expensive.

This is what we mean by a pre-existing medical condition.

If you have an injury, illness or disease for which you or anyone who is named on the policy, or anyone on whom your journey depends; At the time of you buying this insurance is; Waiting for any tests, test results, investigations or receiving treatment (including medication) for any condition or set of symptoms that may or may not have been diagnosed;

AND any condition(s) that has in the last 5 years;

Been referred to or seen by a hospital doctor or surgeon (other than an Accident and Emergency doctor) as an out-patient, or required hospital in-patient treatment.

AND if you have EVER suffered from or received medical advice, treatment or medication for the following medical conditions:

  1. Any heart-related, blood circulatory, stroke, renal failure or diabetic condition; or
  2. Any breathing condition (which can include a condition that has required the use of supplementary oxygen or the use of a nebulizer or inhaler); or
  3. Any cancer.

NOTE: If your travel is dependent on the health of an immediate relative who is not travelling with you, or perhaps someone who will be your travelling companion who has pre-existing medical conditions, but is not going to be covered on the same travel insurance as you – then it may be possible for us to endorse your policy, so that if their health changes and it would mean that you want to cancel or curtail your journey, then we can provide this extra protection. You will need to take out the optional extra cover available for this purpose – please see (show as links to the right page section)
